Area Coordinator
Reports to: Associate Director of Residence Life

Position Summary: The Area Coordinator (AC) is a full-time, twelve-month, live-in professional who reports directly to the Associate Director of Residence Life. The mission of Residence Life at HCU is to develop a community that will enhance the emotional, intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual welfare of each student. The Area Coordinator plays an integral role in accomplishing this mission and cultivating a residential community that honors and glorifies the Lord. The purpose of the AC role is to bring belonging to each student through programming, intentional conversations, enforcing HCU policies, and maintaining a visible presence in their areas. The AC role is essential in fostering a healthy community.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Student Development, Higher Education Administration, or closely related field preferred
Prior collegiate residence life work experience preferred
Exhibit an active Christian faith and support the University’s “Ten Pillars” vision
Have strong interpersonal and administrative skills
Availability for some night and weekend programming
