The successful candidate will be able to articulate a vision for the role of his or her discipline at HCU that supports the university’s core convictions.

Position Summary

This is a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, beginning in the Fall of 2025 or later. The position offers a unique opportunity to provide leadership in shaping an innovative Sports Management program while strengthening student recruitment, academic excellence, and industry partnerships, further elevating the Department of Kinesiology under the Linda R. Dunham School of Nursing and the University.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate classroom experiences for students in a designated content area as per University policy.
  • Recruit students for the graduate program in Sports Management.
  • Build relationships with entities that can be utilized for student internships.
  • Maintain continuing education, scholarly activity, and/or practice.
  • Coordinate learning activities within a particular content area in accord with the total program of studies and expertise in selected areas to enhance student learning.
  • May supervise student research and internships.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should have completed a Ph.D. in Sports Management, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve SACS qualifications for teaching multiple courses in diverse undergraduate programs, contributing to curricular excellence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to quality teaching in a Christian university.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices is also desired.
